We have always been very aware of and concerned about the ethical dilemmas that arise in our professional practice, discuss these issues extensively and take great care to prevent any kind of breach of professional ethics in our work. This attitude to ethics was obviously extended into our research process and its presentation. The knowledge produced in Practitioner Doctorate programs relates directly or indirectly to the lives of the participants, which in our case was Psychotherapists and people suffering from emotional disorders. Furthermore, the knowledge produced is intended to have a significant impact on practice in the profession the research deals with and therefore is likely to affect the lives of many people. Therefore meticulous attention was paid to the issue of confidentiality and other ethical aspects of our research presentation.
