Self-Disclosure of the Therapist

Investigation of Self-disclosure as a methodological tool in research

My original interest focus involved the concept of self-disclosure of the therapist. Being an apprentice of my teacher, I learned the most from his disclosure of the decision-making process in interventions within the therapeutic process. It was also an important element of our Reaching Out approach to therapy, and the way it was utilised by Ofer differed from other therapists.

However, at a later stage, as my academic and professional development progressed, I identified that self-disclosure was an investigation technique coherent to the methodology, I  used in my extensive practitioner research process of knowledge transformation.
