Adolescents at Risk

I began my practical experience working with children and adolescents, who were referred to me by psychiatrists who were acquainted with Ofer's successful work with this population, and trusted his referral of myself as a competent therapist. Although I was a certified psychotherapist, I yet had no experience in practice. As an inexperienced practitioner, I was mainly focused on an investigation of techniques used to engage patients in the process of the therapy. I was especially dedicated to learning how to engage non-compliant adolescents in therapeutic processes, of which was Ofer's main expertise.

A literature review of the statistical data and research published in the field of education and psychotherapy acknowledged that the problem of "Adolescents at risk" was widespread and complex. While suggesting different approaches to explain this challenge, no practical approach was identified nor proposed. Anat
